National Conference on Research Issues in Big Data - NCBD15 was organized by the department on 19-09-2015. 200 Members consisting of faculty members, research scholars, and students from various institutions within and outside Tamil nadu participated and presented their papers.
National Level Technical Symposium - Conclave'15 was organized by the department on 11-09-2015. 27 colleges 383 participants were participated and won the prizes.
National Level Workshop on Network Simulator (NS2) was organized by the department on 29-08-2015. 93 Participants from various colleges participated in the workshop.
Permanent Affiliation for the B.Sc. Computer Science - Addl Section with Increase intake-60 was obtained.
July 2015 - Ph.D Computer Science - First Batch Admission made - 10 scholars.
Faculty development program on "Google Apps" was organized by the department on 20-06-2015. 85 faculty members of Rathinam College gets benefitted in the FDP.
Workshop on "Google Apps" was organized by the department on 20-06-2015. 75 students of CS department gets benefitted.
Skill Development Program - Batch II for Students in association with UTL was organized during June - July 2015.
MoU signed with SAISS, Coimbatore on 19-06-2015.

Two days National Level Workshop on Networks Security was organized by the department on 27-02-2015 and 28-02-2015. 110 Participants from various colleges participated in the workshop.
Faculty Development Program on "Network Simulator-NS2" was organized by the department on 03-01-2015. 36 Participants from various colleges participated in the event. Totally 57 Participants benefited in the event.

Workshop on "Mobile Hardware and Servicing" was organized by the department for the benefit of students on 24-09-2014.
National Conference on Research Issues in Soft Computing was organized by the department on 20-09-2014. 75 papers were presented in the conference, participants from Tamilnadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Mumbai were participated in the conference.
Workshop on "Adobe Illustrator - Graphic designer" was organized by the department for the benefit of students on 09-08-2014.
Seminar on "IT Trends - Big Data" was organized by the department for the benefit of students on 07-08-2014.
Seminar on "Open Source Technologies" was organized by the department for the benefit of the students on 01-08-2014.
