One day Workshop on Project Development using Visual Basic 6.0 was handled by Dr. R. Muralidharan on 24-01-2015 (Saturday) at Sri Vasavi College (SFW) for the M.Com (CA) students.  

The session started with Project Development and Explains the need for Project Development and continues with the Visual Basic and Database via live sessions.

During the Afternoon session a project was designed and explained with ADO Control. The workshop concluded at 4.00 PM with a release of Department bulletin - The Vasavi COM, released by Dr. R. Muralidharan.

22-01-2015 : Guest Lecture Program on Android Virtual Devices

Guest lecture programme on “Android Virtual Devices”  handled by Mr. Koteswara Rao,
Software Engineer, Supreme Assurity Information Solutions and Services, Gandhipuram, Coimbatore - 641012 on 22-01-2015.  The students of III IT attended the session.  The students learnt the basics of Android Devices and how to develop Android Application.

Tutorial of Faculty Development Program on Network Simulator (NS2) - Department of CS, RCAS

Department of Computer Science organized a Faculty Development program on “NETWORK SIMULATOR – NS2” on 03-01-2015.  The sessions are handled by Mr. S. Vibin Chandar, CEO, Shabari Software Solutions, Coimbatore and Mr.Karthick, Technical Trainer, Shabari Software Solutions, Coimbatore.  36 participants from various colleges from in and around Coimbatore attended the program.  Totally 57 participants including faculty members of Department of Computer Science benefited in the program.  Department of Computer Science made the arrangements for the event.

WORKSHOP THEME

The objective of this workshop is to teach the basic principles of information/network security from the perspective of providing security awareness and its best practices for the real world applications. It is also aimed at increasing the state-of-the-art technologies for protection of network and network-accessible resources from different types of attacks. Furthermore, a handful of network security tools will be demonstrated to provide opportunities to the participants to update their knowledge and allow them to interact for further collaborative works.
